Online

Typing away, backspacing once in a while,
Seeing the typos and breaking a smile.
Type something funny, then type something real.
Next thing you know, you're typing how you feel.
Once in a while the typos make you blush,
and every now and then you may even feel flushed.
From playing the part of a Knight or a Queen,
to just simply talking and all things between.
We all know things aren't always as they seem
but, isn't it amazing what we put on the screen.
In some folks we find friends to hold dear.
Of others we think we had better steer clear.
The river of emotions we feel here runs deep.
Hell, I've even sat here and started to weep.
No matter what feelings we think will be next,
We sit and wait for the next bit of text.
When we see the ones close to us pop up online,
to hear the lil uhoh takes forever in time.
Once the little sound our brain does hear,
A smile comes upon us, from ear to ear.
Most days we feel better after some time online
talking to our friends who help us unwind.
Do you think Mom and Dad would maybe fret
If they new most of our friends came from the Net?
